I really want to get the message across about Movember & why i have a sweet handlebar MOustache..
It is not for 'No Shave November' or 'Novembeard'
It is for MOvember! We raise money and awareness with our 'staches for a few things.. all of which involve research for men's heal
th issues through The Prostate Cancer Foundation The Prostate Cancer Foundation & Livestrong.

Here are a few issues that we face as men..
-A man is 35% more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer than a woman is to be diagnosed with breast cancer.
-1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
-A man dies from prostate cancer every 18 minutes.
-The incidence rates for prostate cancer are nearly double for African American men.
-Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in American males between the ages of 15 and 35.
-A man's lifetime chance of having testicular cancer is about 1 in 270.
-Only 1 in 4 men with testicular cancer have symptoms of the disease.
The MOney we raise helps try and find better treatments and provides preventive education on these issues.

Guys.. We grow MOustaches for the month of MOvember so people will talk to us about why we have a MO and strike up a conversation that leads to us MObros educating people on men's health issues. The majority of the time I have a cards on me that either has information about men's health or a website where you can learn what you need to check on depending upon your age group.
Gals.. Whilst the growing of Mo's is limited to the guys, Mo Sistas play a vital role in the success of MOvember by supporting and encouraging the men in their life to get involved, and participating in raising funds and awareness themselves.

On MOvember 1st we have to start a brand new MO..
We call this Shave the Date.
We are having our Shave the Date fundraiser at Tobys Bar on MOvember 1st (November 1st) at around 7:00pm.
I will be getting my curls snipped off by the woman who has put up with my MOustache for 1 year exactly, Jeanette.
Then i get a straight razor shave from Cindy Hambright in front of everyone while Dr. Philgood & The Let's Get It Ons' rock the bar!
Our event will be on happening during Happy Hour In Texas with Lee B. Weaver!
We will be taking donations for MOvember that night at the bar.. but if for some reason you cannot make it or live out of the area, I would love for you to donate online at [link]
Donations last from now until the last day of MOvember. Last year I raised around $500 & this year I am going for $1000!!
