HEARD HIM?! I WORSHIP HIM! Sort of. I know he was the legendary flamethrower hero of Iwo Jima, yet he doesn't mention a word of suffering from Combat Fatigue or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Yet for him, seeing Japanese bodies roasting alive, smelling their stinky (they hadn't had a bath in months) flesh burn, and hearing not only the crackling of their bodies burning, but their horrific, dying screams; was a real nightmare come true. Yet he did fight on Guam, but he didn't use an M2 Flamethrower then I bet. I first saw him on The Lost Evidence: Iwo Jima [link] And on Sons of Guns [link] Woody, you're the best Marine the Corps could ever ask for, and the best one West Virginia could ever give!
